Which unit in 40K gives you biggest pause for thought when you know your opponent is fielding them?

2+ Save, multiple wounds, the most devastating weapon in the game, move and shoot, AND uneven dispersion of wounds? Friggin Tau Broadsides, hands down.

Sorry, i have too much infantry to fear the broadsides too much. yes, my demolisher and my leman russ fear it, but my 4 point conscripts don't.

Just something about 20 jump pack orks with basically a fleet move and a nob with a powerklaw that is terribly unnerving. Not to mention that stupid Zagstruk upgrade No

Definitely Broadsides. Smile Nothing like twin-linked death rays.

Dark reapers

enough shots@48" to shoot down swarms, 2 re-roll to hit templates, a 2shot BS6 rocket launcher, and str5 ap3.... if they could be fielded in squads larger than 5, id shit myself.
oh... and a 3 shot that ignores cover if'n you want?

2nd on my list is DEFINATELY the vindicare and callidus.... for obvious reasons.

units to remove from the list:
Assault terminators.... T4 2+/3++ not that scary. too expensive to be scary. Enough massed fire will remove them.

Wyches.... by themselves? not a threat.. not even a small one. Too fragile to worry about, but with a transport they are ridiculous deadly.

Hellhound.... not so bad.. but not even close to the same league as the rest of the list, considering its only AV12.
